The Music
You can use all manner of words to describe music. You can compare this band to that band. You can use allusions and metaphor. But you’re no closer to knowing what the music sounds like. What it feels like. Skydog’s music is thorny and delicate; intricate and ordinary; beautiful and ugly. The guys come from vastly different musical backgrounds, especially since they started playing together again after their long hiatus; so the classic moments of space-rock and early electronica now take on elements of post-rock, IDM, and drone.
